The wait is nearly over. Yesterday the Olympic Flame was officially handed over in Athens. Tonight it arrives in Cornwall on flight BA2012, brought by Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal, David Beckham and some very special young people. The excitement is building across the UK as thousands of people plan how they'll join in and line the streets to welcome the Flame – knowing it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Introducing The Firefly A distinctly-designed plane will carry the Olympic Flame to the UK from Athens, flight BA2012. It was named 'The Firefly' by young people through a London 2012 Get Set Education programme competition. Pupils from three different schools suggested the winning entry.
