Lexington, KY - The United States Equestrian Federation is pleased to welcome USA Reining as its newest USEF International Discipline Association. On Monday, May 21, 2012, the USEF Executive Committee reviewed and accepted unanimously the application submitted by USA Reining to be the FEI Affiliate for reining.
National Reined Cow Horse Association Sponsor Committee Chairman Bob Avila has announced that Markel Insurance Company, a subsidiary of Markel Corporation based in Glen Allen, Virginia, will continue its Corporate Partnership with the Association.

NRBC To Remain at Great Southwest Equestrian Center

The National Reining Breeders Classic has had a home in Katy, Texas since its move to the Great Southwest Equestrian Center in 2001 and NRBC President Tom McCutcheon has announced that a new contract will extend the relationship another seven years.  According to McCutcheon, details of the contract extension were being worked out during the 2012 NRBC in April and the contract was signed shortly after the event.
Moms Silverado Cat was piloted to the National Reined Cow Horse Association Hackamore Classic Open Championship by longtime trainer and NRCHA $2 Million Dollar Rider Todd Crawford. The pair won a Bob's Custom Saddle as well as a big check for $13,676. Crawford and Moms Silverado Cat also had the high score of the horse show Open Hackamore, which garnered an additional $3,240.
