Valiant was imported as a 3 1/2-year-old and has been successfully shown as a 4 and 5 year-old. Most recently he placed 7th at the USEF/Markel Young Horse Championships in Lexington, KY. He consistently scores '8' or higher on his canter. "Val" has scores in the high 60's and 70's at First level. Shown once at Second level scoring in the high 60's. Val is solid Second level and is starting changes and half passes.

Hilda Gurney commented at the Young Horse Championships that "He gets a 9 for willingness. Val has a wonderful character and is extremely trainable. He is a very confident, non-spooky horse with a fun loving personality. He is more than suitable for a Junior/Young Rider, Adult Amateur and talented enough for a Professional.

Val is great on the trails and is hacked out regularly. He has always been very healthy, sound and x-rays are available. This is a very uncomplicated horse both under saddle and on the ground.
