Dressage Royal is a stallion whose name clearly defines his talents. He is a stallion that is descended from the "royal combination" of Donnerhall and Rubinstein, the overwhelming powerhouses of modern dressage breeding. During his competitive career Donnerhall won the team Gold medal and the individual Bronze medal during the World Championships in Den Haag in 1994. Donnerhall's breeding accomplishments are too numerous to list. As well as having many other notable sporting titles to his credit. Donnerhall is one of the most important stallions worldwide, passing his above-average dressage qualities on to his offspring in a predictable manner. Dressage Royal's damsire, the legendary Rubinstein I, also had an exceptional influence on the European dressage breeding and advanced level dressage sport for more than a decade and also left his invaluable genes for the future. He produced the licensing winner Damsey from his first foal crop, setting his own mark as a top stallion. Dressage Royal dam line comes from the famous Oldenburg performance line of Fasse III.  Immediately following his successful tests for young riding and dressage horses, Dressage Royal  placed at the Bundeschampionat in the class for five year old dressage horses in 2003. He produced the licensing winner Damsey from his first foal crop, setting his own mark as a top stallion.

Dressage Royal distinguishes himself not only because of his excellent conformation, his unimpeachable character and his fantastic pedigree, but also through his own performances; his ridability, his basic gaits and his show jumping skills are of exquisite quality. This was confirmed by the testing committee and the test rider. His ridability for dressage was judged with 8.21 points, his show jumping qualities was a straight 8.00 during his stallion testing. Dressage Royal is fully trained to the Grand Prix level.

Mare owners should take special note of this stallion because of the high trainability and rideable temperament that is found in his genetic heritage with the dressage greats Donnerhall and Rubinstein in such close proximity. These two stallions are consistently found in the Top 5 of the FN Rankings in Germany. Their genetic contribution to the sport of dressage will be felt for generations – these two stallions consistently produce horses that can be ridden by Amateur and Professional alike at the highest levels in sport. Dressage Royal's damline has also produce several M and S level dressage horses, licensed stallions and M level jumpers. The maternal granddam is also a stallion of note – Futuro by Furioso II who revolutionized sport horse breeding permanently. The great-grandsire is also an important figure in both breeding and sport – Magister, who was the undisputed winner of the Trakehner Stallion Licensing in 1965.

In 2007, Dressage Royal was ranked 15th out of the top 1% of over 3100 dressage breeding sires in Germany. His licensed stallion sons include – Damsey, Uno Don Diego, Dorlingcourt and Qoi Que. The price highlight of the Vechta Fall Elite Auction (October 2007) was the four year old gelding Desperado. Desperado was the clear highlight of the auction collection with his rhythm, powerful movement and mesmerizing gaits – resulting in the knockdown price of 210,000 Euros! This lovely gelding was purchased from the Pferde_24 group from Baden-Wurtemburg. Desperado recently acquired the title of Five- Year-Old World Champion with an overall score of 8.84 with his owner Nadine Plaster. Dressage Daily has outstanding coverage of the rides.
