HorsesDaily HorseMarket - Farm Features: Hyperion Farm Inc - Breeding, Training and Showing Dutch Warmbloods (KWPN) For Dressage Horses in Holland Come to the United States KWPN-approved stallions, Uptown and Washington are owned by Hyperion Farm, Inc., Kathy Connelly and Toine Hoefs. They remain in Holland where they are being managed under the expert of the Toin Hoefs. The stallions are being ridden by Roy van den Heuvel. Sabrina, a KWPN keur mare with her dressage sport predicate now calls Wellington, Florida home as well as her stable mate Zephyr (Rhodium x Democraat). Sabrina's 2-year old filly (Brina HF) by Uptown is also in Florida. Hyperion Farm will continue the trend of bringing quality bred horses to the United States where they will continue to be developed and sold. 2007 was a successful year for sales; Tadette has been sold as have two Uptown fillies Cabriolette HF and Belle HF. Wayfarer the only son of Sagacious HF in the United States is going to be staying in the Hyperion barn however, with great hopes for repeating history. Al says, “There’s no question about it. I would never buy a horse myself. Judy and I always went to Kathy and Toine when we wanted a horse. If we didn’t have these people in our lives, it would be difficult to be successful. Right now we all feel at the top of our game with two approved stallions out of three. We have a network of folks; there is no other way to do this.” |
