Sales and Training Facility Piaffe Performance
Piaffe Performance Farm is a newly built equestrian center in Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, with all the facilities a serious dressage rider can dream of. There are two Olympics size arena's, one indoor, one outdoor. There is an outdoor walk and canter track s well as several pastures. Piaffe-Performance was founded in 1999 by Dr. Cesar Parra. Parra and his team provide full-service training based on the Classical German Training Methods. This entails two components: a tailored program for the horse and rider, and a team which communicates with the owner and service providers to optimize the health of the horse. The Classical German Training Methods are those taught by the old German Masters and perfected by some modern-day riders. These methods are based on the Training Scale: Relaxation, Rhythm, Contact, Impulsion, Straightness, Collection. (Losgelassenheit, Takt, Anlehnung, Schwung, Geraderichtung, Versammlung). Every rider should start at the bottom of the scale, and master each step consecutively. For instance, never try for Impulsion when you do not have Contact.
Dr. Cesar Parra has competed at the 2004 Olympic Games and 2002 World Equestrian Games. He won the silver medal at the 2002 Central American Games and 1999 Pan American Games. He finished fourth at the 2003 Pan American Games. Contact: Piaffe Performance Farm Home Phone: (908) 534-6350
