Before You Visit - Know What You Are Looking For
"We like to know the type, the level, size and the price range, which the client is interested in." For the amateur rider it is highly recommended you visit with your trainer, someone experienced in looking at many horses, as it can be overwhelming, and sometime confusing looking at so many quality horses each day. With a selection of over 200 horses to choose from, Reesink Horses offers a selection in price, age, type and levels, for a full range of super horses all within a short driving distance from Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport. Let them know what you are looking for, the color, age, size and type of horse you are in the market for. Be sure to explain the level rider you are, and your price range.
Quality amateur horses, and well-trained competitive schoolmasters are also available at affordable prices. If they do not have the type of horse you are looking for on their beautiful 50 acre facility, a short drive to a varied selection of training barns will provide the type of selection worthy of your trip. Allow for approximately $5,000 additional for shipping and pre-purchase exam costs. This amount can normally be added to the purchase price for insurance purposes. For the ideal trip, plan for a minimum of a 5-day visit, leaving three days to horse shop, and time to review your top selection. It can be cold and rainy in Holland, or they could have a heat wave in the summer, but you need to be prepared to bundle up, whatever time of year it is! |
