Interesting KWPN stallions in KSS VHO Sale during stallion approvals

The demand for good sports horses continues to grow in the Netherlands; a logical development considering the successes of KWPN giants such as Gestion Goliath T and Tinka’s Boy in the world of sport. Last year, the former won, with Arjen Teeuwissen, two silver medals in the European Dressage Championship and Markus Fuchs’ Tinka’s Boy won the finals of the World Cup show jumping. In the last few years, the VHO Sale that takes place during the Central Stallion Approvals in Den Bosch, has been offering owners of young stallions a ‘shop window’ for potential buyers. Since last year, the elite auction KWPN Select Sale has also taken place alongside as a conclusion to the stallion approvals. The KSS VHO Sale ‘new style’ grew from the fusion of the original VHO Sale and the KWPN Select Sale; it offers extremely interesting stallions for sport and breeding.

For those who are seeking a very promising young horse can, of course, go to a breeder, private horse owner or dealer. But for those who want to choose from a broad selection of talented show jumping and dressage stallions in one location, can come to the KSS VHO Sale. Not only because in terms of quality one can find the better horses of the series, but also because there is a lot of (veterinary) information available of the material on offer. For interested parties, the KSS VHO Sales team can show horses in-hand, in free movement and jumping. All horses on offer have taken part in the KWPN Stallion inspections or are even in the race for approval. On the provisional sales list there are seven stallions that have been chosen for the second viewing by the stallion inspection committee and there are fourteen star stallions. The list is a ‘provisional’ one because, during the stallion approvals, the stock of horses is constantly being added to and updated after the sale of any one horse.

Thirty stables will be the home for the KSS VHO stallions in the three days of the Central Stallion Approvals in Den Bosch. The KSS VHO Sales team have, in agreement with the owner, fixed a sales price and shall complete the sale with interested parties. The horses have been selected by the same selection committee as that of the KWPN Select Sale and are inspected both by X-ray and clinically. Veterinary information can be supplied on request in the KSS sales room where the X-rays photographs can also be seen.
