Fantastic Start of the Verden Auction Year with Another Export Record Achieved for Hanoverian Riding Horses

Although outside the temperature fell, the prices of the winter auction of Hanoverian riding horses on January 28 were rising. 113 horses were sold at an average auction sales price of Euro 12.693,00.

Spanish customers paid the highest price of Euro 52.000,00 for the dressage prospect Lertigo by Lancier/Graf Lehndorff (breeder and exhibitor: Horst Nehring, Worpswede). Winwood by Waterford/World Cup III (breeder and exhibitor: Alfred Bredehorst, Hoyerhagen) was the runner-up on the price scale. He was also sold to Spain at Euro 38.000,00.

The five-year-old Limerick by Landsieger/Azur (breeder and exhibitor: Walter Reiners, Deternerlehe) was the most expensive show jumper. An important show jumping patron, living in the United States, bought the promising youngster at Euro 30.000,00 for his training stable near Verden.

62% of the Hanoverian riding horses were sold abroad. Most of the foreign buyers came from the United States, 21 horses will travel there. Each nine horses were bought by Italian and Spanish customers, followed by Sweden with seven purchases.
