2001 American Bankers/USDF Region Three Finals

Returning to the site of the 1996 Olympic Games, at the Georgia Horse Park in Conyers, Georgia, for The American Bankers/USDF Region Finals held October 13-14, brought back many memories of the exciting time we had over five years ago. But I was disapointed not to see one mention of that distinction anywhere on or around the facility. With it's excellent stabling, indoor arena, and multiple outdoor arenas, The Georgia Horse Park is well equipped to accommodate the rapidly growing Region Three Championships.

Genuine southern hospitality and friendliness was stronger than ever, as Don and Liz Faso with the help of Lynne Garrett made this event successful and rewarding for all who worked so hard to get there. Sponsored by American Bankers Insurance Company (aka Assurant), whose insurance services we represent, provided us with the opportunity to visit and service our many clients in Region 3. My partner Shawna Dietrich came from her Kentucky office, where she also operates her farm for equine retirees, to meet many of the customers we service and protect.

With American Bankers VP Joe Carr working the center line, myself (Agent Mary Phelps) handling photography, and my partner Shawna organizing the awards, ABIC was a working sponsor as well as a presenting one!
