Dressage
in the Rockies Profile - Sue Halasz
"We used Hooray for Hollywood for the trot work, the walk piece is You Otta be in Pictures, and the canter was set to Singin' in the Rain, all Boston Pops music," Halasz explained. "His owner is very musical and has a lot of talent in that area, so we were excited to be able to do work together on the music. I helped change some of the choreography to show his flowing qualities. He's an agile horse and it's easy for him to go from one movement to the next." Halasz has a goal of riding in international competition and training another horse to Grand Prix. "I've been to the National Championships (in Gladstone) a couple of times," she said. "I know it takes the right horse at the right time, a lot of money, more than one good strong national horse, getting put on the Developing Rider list for the Grand Prix and then getting some support from USET." She doesn't seem daunted by all that. All things being equal, she just might make it. |
