2004 Dressage at Devon Dressage at Devon Announces Can Am Challenge Competitors
Canada’s EH? Team includes Olympian Ashley Holzer with Gambol, and Tom Dvorak with two mounts, Beaumarchais and West Side Lady. On Canada’s Mapleleaf Team are Stephanie Jeffrey with Belcanto, Jessica Costello with Litmanen and Andrea Bresee with Raffles. The USA Freedom Team includes Kristy Truebenbach Lund with Nice Catch, Susanne Hamilton with Rachmaninow III and Susan Jaccoma with Harmony's Weismuller. On the USA Independence Team are Silke Rembacz with Millennium, Michael Shondel with Wallaby and Kim Barteau with Liberty. Each team’s score will be determined by adding up the individual scores each rider earns in the Prix St Georges and Intermediaire I classes. The team with the highest combined score will receive the Gold Medal. The Silver Medal will be awarded to the team with the second highest combined score. The Can Am Challenge was originated at Dressage at Devon in 1993, and continued annually through 1998. It is returning to the show after a brief hiatus. Dressage at Devon is one of the highest-rated dressage shows in North America and one of the largest breed shows in the world, drawing entries from across the United States and Canada. The show runs September 28th through October 3rd and benefits Thorncroft Therapeutic Horseback Riding, Inc., one of the oldest and largest therapeutic riding facilities in the nation. |
