The National Symposium Quenches Thirst for Knowledge

Tami Crawford and DakotaOne of the great things about people with a passion for dressage is their hunger to learn. The American dressage community has worked hard to satisfy that hunger through the excellent educational programs provided by not only the USDF, through their USDF University Programs, and annual symposiums, but also by a vast array of organizers throughout the country dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge.

The concept of bringing in several clinicians to the 2004 National Dressage Symposium was the brain child of organizer Margie Koffler, who saw the opportunity to bring a variety of input, and expanding the learning process as well as the interest. The format was a huge success, as participants benefited by watching the articulate and concise training of Conrad Schumaker, the gentle logical approach to long reining by Kathy Connelly, and the instinctive and compassionate training techniques of Juan Matute.
