2005 Dressage at Devon - American Junior Riders Championships Meet the Riders - Caroline Roffman and Bulgari 5
Getting used to riding him away from home was a challenge at first. “Bully is a very hot horse at horse shows, which took some getting used to.” Soon the pair had worked out its kinks and was dazzling judges everywhere they went. Their season average stands near a 69% coming into this competition. The duo spent their summer in New Jersey at Silke’s barn and attended their first CDI together recently. “I couldn’t dream of having a more encouraging trainer and mentor in my life. I am also lucky enough to have two parents who totally support my riding goals and ambitions. I consider it an honor to be invited to come and compete at Devon this year and couldn’t ask for a better team. We all get along great and have a lot of fun together.” Last year, Caroline made the team with ease, but due to very unfortunate horse and rider injuries, was forced to withdraw, which opened up a spot for current teammate Eliose Aud. Bulgari and Caroline will make the long trip back down to Wellington, Florida in December. Their goals for this next year are to get their feet wet in the Prix St. George and get some more experience at some of the most prestigious CDI’s that America has to offer. |
