| Katherine Bateson-Chandler and FBW Kennedy Announced as Winners of FEI Grand Prix
WELLINGTON, FL – February 19, 2006 – On Saturday, February 18, the Stadium Jumping, Inc. Dressage Office issued corrected results from the FEI Grand Prix, which took place on Friday, February 17, at the Zada Enterprises, LLC Dressage Classic at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Florida. The winner of the FEI Grand Prix was Katherine Bateson-Chandler riding FBW Kennedy for owner Jane Forbes Clark, with a score of 70.208% (1,011 points). The original results released from the dressage office on Friday listed George Williams and Marnix owned by Joann Smith as the winner with a score of 70.069% (1,009 points) and Bateson-Chandler in second place with a score of 69.514% (1,001 points). The mistake occurred due to a mathematical error in addition. After the error was discovered, Bateson- Chandler’s total score was 1,011 points and placed her first in the class with a score of 70.208%. “The Stadium Jumping Dressage Office sincerely regrets the error and offers our apologies to the riders and owners involved,” said Mary Silcox, head of dressage at Stadium Jumping, Inc. and show secretary for the Zada Enterprises, LLC Dressage Classic. “At all of our dressage shows, I encourage riders to obtain their tests and examine them thoroughly immediately after the class and report any discrepancies to our office on the day of that particular competition.” *FEI Grand Prix – Corrected Results from Friday February 17 |
