Six Time Olympian, Robert Dover to attend Dressage by the Bay in Traverse City, Michigan

June 26, 2006 - Traverse City, MI - We are extremely pleased that both Zada Enterprises, LLC Dressage By The Bay I & II held in Traverse City with the Horse Shows By The Bay H/J series have sold out this season. We are expecting great shows again this year on July 27 & 28 and July 29 & 30, with FEI judges Gary Rockwell and Lois Yukins. The ride times and results will be available to download our website at www.dressagebythebay.com along with additional horse show information as soon as they are available. We are thrilled to be bringing rated dressage to the Traverse City area and would like to acknowledge the generosity of our sponsors, including Title Sponsor Zada Enterprises, LLC, Hampton Green Farm, co-sponsor of the “Fiesta for Hope” Benefit, Equistride International, LLC, sponsor of the Exhibitor Wine & Cheese Social, and Mortgage Planners, Inc., sponsor of the Bagel Breakfasts.

We are especially excited that six time Olympian Robert Dover will be our special guest Master of Ceremonies for the Live Charity Auction to benefit the Equestrian Aid Foundation. The Live Auction along with a Silent Charity Auction will be held Saturday July 29th during the “Fiesta for Hope” EAF Benefit Party. Fantastic auction items including lessons with Robert Dover and lessons with two time Canadian Olympian Ashley Holzer will be included in the Live Auction. Many more wonderful items will be available in the Silent Auction.

“The auction will be a highly anticipated feature of the event, capping off a truly entertaining day,” says Dressage Olympian Robert Dover, president and co-founder of EAF. The Foundation’s mission is to raise funds for equestrians in need. In addition to the Live Auction riding lessons, Silent Auction items are to include with art, jewelry, and equestrian items donated by various local and nationwide vendors.

Due to the interest expressed by many competitors that are not able to be in Traverse City for the party, we are going to pre-register a maximum of 10 bidders that will be able to participate in the Live Auction by telephone. Please email EAF Auction Registration if you would like to be one of the lucky 10. Tickets for the “Fiesta for Hope” Benefit Party can be reserved by email as well and require at $25 donation to EAF at the Party. Chef Frederic from Galipette Restaurant in Wellington, FL will be providing his signature Spanish Cuisine for the Party which is co-sponsored by Hampton Green Farm and Horse Sports by the Bay, Inc.

Many other exciting parties and charity events are scheduled throughout the 3 week Horse Shows by the Bay Hunter/Jumper Series. Michigan wine enthusiasts are welcome to join us for the CANTER Benefit Wine Tasting Party and Silent Auction sponsored by Bowers Harbor Vineyards on Saturday, July 22nd with special guest Masters of Ceremonies Jim Brandstatter, from Detroit Lions and UM Radio and Robbie Timmons from Detroit W-XYZ TV. The drawing for the CANTER Benefit Golf Cart Giveaway will take place during the Party as well as lots of great items will be available for bidding in the Silent Auction.
