Special to Dressage Daily #2, Page Three
By Father Mack (a.k.a.: Father Larry David McCormick)
DISCLAIMER
[There must be something in the air making me feel the need for these
disclaimers during this autumn season. In this instance I do not want
you, patient reader, to think me a self-aggrandizing S.O.B. Here goes]:
I neither own stock in any of the commercial ventures mentioned in the
foregoing ponderings, nor do I hope for or expect to receive baksheesh
(a gratuity, tip, or bribe paid to expedite service; from the Middle
Persian vocable bakhshishn) from any of the nice vendors I have used
as examples. I also do not intend to slight any of the many other fine
business people who attend and who support Dressage at Devon. Finally,
as I hope you already know, Ms. Mary Phelps had absolutely no knowledge
of my reference to her occupation as a representative of Markel Insurance
Company. There you go. I have disclaimed.
