It’s a Perfect Score for Arielle Perry at 2007 Dressage at Devon

Kudos to Arielle Perry. The 15-year-old from Spring Hope, North Carolina did something no one has ever before done at Dressage at Devon – at least not that anyone can remember. And what she did was get a perfect 100 in competition.

Perry earned that special award during the breed competition for her excellent job of handler in the Amateur Handler Junior/Young Rider. Perry showed her four-year-old Hanoverian mare Reba’s Song by Rotspon out of Windsong. “That’s really cool,” Perry said when she learned of her accomplishment. “They don’t think anyone has ever done that before.”

This is only Perry’s second year competing at Devon. Last year she showed Reba’s Song in breed competition as a filly. It was after last year’s show that she broke Reba’s Song to ride and then this year, along with the in-hand competition, she’s been competing her under saddle. “I’ve only been showing horses for a year,” Perry said. “And it’s really fun. I love it.” No doubt, she’s got a bright show future ahead of her.
