2007 Dressage at Devon Presented by WT Direct

Pikko del Cerro and Cabana Boy Ace the Young Horse Classes at Dressage at Devon Presented by WTDirect

Pikko del CerroDevon, PA—Pikko del Cerro HU became a second-generation winner on Thursday when he claimed the USEF Four Year Old class with an 80.40% at Dressage at Devon Presented by WTDirect. The bay stallion is a son of Pik L, an 11-time winner at Dressage at Devon. Pikko del Cerro HU is bearing the fruits of the Born in the USA Awards. He won the Overall Award in 2005 with a 9.0.

“The goal of the Born in the USA Awards is to recognize the quality of horses that are being produced in the U.S.,” said Dressage at Devon board member Melanie Sloyer. “Pikko del Cerro is a great representative of the American breeding program.” The handsome bay stallion repeated his victory in the same class on Friday with 81.00%.

Another American-bred, the reigning USEF National Young Horse Champion (5 Year Old) Cabana Boy, continued his domination with a decisive win in Friday’s FEI Five Year Old Class. The impressive bay by Contucci and owned by Hilltop Farm Inc. scored an 84.20%. Christopher Hickey and Cabana Boy also claimed the same class on Thursday with a 79.80%.
