It's All in the Timing-Niemi Dressage Sends Florencio to Europe
Florencio, owned by Christina Baker of Greenwich, Connecticut, was originally purchased as an investment horse for Niemi to develop and train. The plan for Florencio was to offer him for sale when the time was right. "Florencio is a young horse with great potential," said Niemi. "I have enjoyed bringing his talents to the forefront and feel the time is right to sell him at this age. He possesses true international potential and with the Euro strong, it makes the most sense to market him in Europe." Florencio is featured on the YouTube.com website. Last winter he was taped performing in Dressage Under the Stars, a friendly competition held Friday nights at The Players Club in Wellington, Florida. Spectators enjoyed watching this young equine star of The Players? event display the elastic and lively gaits he is so adept at performing. Niemi chose to ride an exhibition to showcase his talents and the judges and audience were treated to an electric ride. The judges clearly enjoyed Florencio's performance. Michael Klimke immediately responded, "I am deeply, deeply impressed. You had a beautiful ride on a wonderful horse." He gave it a measured moment, and then added, "If you want to sell him, give me a call. This horse has all the potential to be a real international, top class horse." Florencio's performance can bee seen at:?http://www.youtube.com/watchv=v068vpetk1I&feature=user. Niemi keeps a rigorous schedule showing her own horses and many of the horses she trains. She also conducts and participates in clinics regularly. Niemi Dressage trains European sport horses for the serious amateur and professional rider competing on the American show circuit.
