Dressage on the First Coast, September 18-19
The Northeast Florida Dressage Association, a chapter of the
Deep South Dressage and Combined Training Association, is
very pleased to announce Col. Axel Steiner as the judge for
the AHSA/USDF Recognized Dressage show: "Dressage on
the First Coast." Col. Steiner, an international "O"
judge for twelve years, has been chosen to judge Sydney 2000.
NFDA has also secured Klaus Fraessdorf as the second judge,
Joyce Hamelin as Technical Delegate and Lyn Carver as the
Show Secretary. Northeast Florida Dressage is thrilled to
have the opportunity to work with such a well-respected group
of officials.
"Dressage
on the First Coast" will be held September 18-19 at the
Clay County Agricultural Center in Green Cove Springs, Florida.
It is the first recognized show to be held in the Jacksonville
area in over twenty years. NFDA has hopes of making this an
annual event and has billed the show as a final "tune-up"
for the Region Three Championships. In addition to the recognized
show, Axel Steiner will be conducting a clinic on Monday and
Tuesday after the show. Any interested riders may contact
NFDA's Clinic Manager, Suzanne Graham, at (904) 287-6110.
To request a prize list for the show, please contact NFDA's
Show Manager, Marge Savage, at (904) 276-2427.
A
portion of the show's proceeds and money raised from a silent
auction will go to benefit the Children's Home Society of
Florida, Buckner Division. The Children's Home Society's 14
divisions are the caregivers to Florida's less fortunate children.
Best known for their adoption services, they have placed nearly
30,000 children with loving parents since their founding in
1902. CHS also provides foster care, emergency shelters, group
homes, family counseling and child abuse and neglect prevention
programs. The Society's individual attention to each case
ensures that each child is cared for according to his or her
special needs.
If
your group or business would like to become a show sponsor
or donate an item or service to the silent auction, please
contact NFDA's Sponsorship Chairman, Mary Farr, at (904) 287-0751.
