Dr Hansfried Haring

After studying economics and animal genetics, Dr Haring became managing director of the breeding section in the German Equestrian Federation, responsible for coordination of the breeding and organizational activities of all German horse breeding associations, as well as for the contact with the national and international organizations of breeding, industry and science.

He became managing director of the German Equestrian Olympic Committee (D.O.K.R) responsible for the organization of the top performance sport and the participation of German teams in international championships.

In 1992 he was appointed as General Secretary of the German Equestrian Federation and is responsible for the coordination of all activities in the Federation, including sport and breeding.

Dr Haring has competed in jumping and 3-Day competitions up to international level and is an international judge in show jumping. He also teaches horse breeding at the University of Gottingen and is President of the section horses of C.O.P.A. (Brussels), delegate of the German F.N. at the F.E.I. and chairman of the F.E.I. Strategic Planning Committee.
