Born
in Belgium, Mariette Withages grew up with the horses of her grandparents
and started riding at an early age. Her judging career started in 1969
and she has been a six time judge at the World Cup Finals. She was also
the first woman President of the Ground Jury for the 1998 World Equestrian
Games
