New Zealand rider Andrew Nicholson, riding Mr. Smiffy, won his second Burghley title, Australian rider Merran Wallis riding Gershwin III, moved up one place to finish second and British rider Clea Hoeg-Mudd and Feast of Florios grabbed the third spot. Other American riders placed as follows: |

the highest placed American rider at the Burghley Pedigree Horse Trials
held August 31 - September 3, 2000 at Burghley House at Stamford in
Lincolnshire.
