Whenever a business changes ownership, patrons wonder what changes lie ahead. Such was the case among many event riders regarding Spring Creek Equestrian Center, host of the Event at Jackson Hole (formerly Jackson Hole Horse Trials) for the last eight years. Bill and Robin Weiss sold the spectacular 447 acre property in late 2002 to Dr. Gary and Peta Roubin, who planned limited, exclusive residential development, but promised to continue the annual horse trials for at least three years.

Though there was little room for improving the popular event, the 2003 trials was even better. Sponsors, staff and volunteers, many who have supported the event for years (including Mr. and Mrs. Weiss), turned out another truly enjoyable weekend August 22 -24. Added stabling accommodated a record 228 entries, with nearly 60 advanced and intermediate horses.
