Wendy Lewis and Rampant Lion Maintain Third Place After Cross Country

Wendy Lewis and Rampant LionFrom the hilltop at Radnor with the Championship Intermediate division in full swing, was the vision of a beautiful grey horse flying around the steeplechase course, covering the ground with long effortless galloping strides. The finest horses in the country were competing for top honors during the 30th Anniversary of the historical Radnor Hunt International Three Day Event, but there was something about the sight of this particular horse that captured the crowd's attention.

Wendy Lewis and Rampant Lion, caught their breath in the vet box before beginning the final and most demanding phase, the cross country, and then continued to fly through the challenging bold effort course 30 seconds under the time, to maintain their third position, behind Darren Chiacchia and San Salvador, and Debi Crowley, and Mighty Mite, whose was now tied for first after her double clear round matched Chiacchia's score.
