On the Scene at The Event at Jackson Hole Western Gold Cup Plays Big Role
USEA Executive Director, Jo Whitehouse, was a guest of The Event at Jackson on behalf of the association. “We are thrilled that this young lady, only 19 years old, and her horse Kipling are the winners of the first USEA Advanced Gold Cup Series. She is a delightful young woman and a real ambassador for the sport,” Whitehouse said. Whitlock’s coach, Mogie Bearden-Muller, speculated ringside after Kipling posted a clean show jumping round that the series championship would belong to Whitlock. Referring to the $6,000 prize money at stake and Whitlock’s plans to run Kipling at the Fair Hill CCI*** in Maryland in October, Bearden-Muller said, “well, that will pay for the (horse’s) flight back.” |
