Mathew Grayling Shines During Dressage at FEI Eventing World Cup

Mathew Grayling and Gordon Photo by Barbara ThompsonApril 8, 2005 - Mathew Grayling aboard Gordon leads the New Zealand Qualifier for the FEI Eventing World Cup after the dressage phase. Grayling, the previous winner of this event, posted a dressage score of 46.9 leading Megan Finlayson who scored 56.3. Grayling also delivered a good result on his second ride Klinsmann, but later withdrew due to injury.

International Judge Jim Dunn (Australia) commented that Grayling was a standout during today’s dressage, while some others showed potential for greater improvement.

On Saturday competitors turn to the Cross Country phase where they face a very unique and challenging course which has been themed around the tale of Winnie the Pooh. The competition finishes on Sunday with the Show Jumping Finale.
