Stadium Jumping

David O'Connor and Rattle 'N Hum The third phase, stadium jumping, is comprised of a series of fences at various distances, heights, widths and combinations. The horse must be obedient and respond to his rider's commands, for a single knockdown of a fence rail can change the standings.

In most cases, competitors jump in reverse order of standing, adding to the excitement and suspense as the leading rider after the dressage and cross country phase are the last to go.

It is the true athlete that can jump clear and within the time allowed during the stadium after the rigorous effort put in from the demanding cross country portion of competition.
