Wellington Classic Dressage Challenge I Postponed to March 10-11, 2007 New Date Added in April

Gold Coast Dressage Association Opener CDIW/CDIY Extends Closing Date for Entries

Due to the current situation with the Equine Herpes Virus (EVH-1) in Wellington, FL, Show Management for the Wellington Classic Dressage Challenge I Show to be held at the New Palm Beach County/Jim Brandon Equestrian Center, W Palm Beach, FL, January 6-7, felt that the most responsible thing to do was to postpone this show to March 10-11, 2007 to allow an additional time cushion before the start of their show series.

“Although we have not been advised to cancel the show, and many local veterinarians feel that this outbreak may well be contained in time for the January show season, we feel that the time from when the virus was first discovered and our scheduled show may be too close, and we would prefer to err on the side of caution for this early show,” stated Noreen O’Sullivan, Manager. “We are hopeful that the remainder of our show season will continue as planned at this new facility in West Palm Beach, and we have added an additional show date in April.”

Regarding the Gold Coast Dressage Association Opener CDIW/CDIY to be hosted January 26-28, 2007 hosted at the Horse Park at the Equestrian Estates in White Fences, entries are being received through Dec 31st(and may extend through Jan 6, 2007). A GCDA Board meeting is planned for next week and show plans continue at this time, pending further updates and information. The GCDA shows are a separate series from the Wellington Challenge.
