2004 Olympic Games - Show Jumping

The Show Jumping Courses in Athens, Greece, at the 29th Olympic Games Are Unique

Encouraging Jumps

#11 a-b – This fence was a combination brown fence where the standards were again set out in front of it and it created a bit of an optical illusion. It’s hard to tell that these are two different fences but look at the decorations at the base of the standards.

#12 – Was on the long side going towards the ingate and it was a very airy looking jump, but by this time the horses were used to the airy looking fences.

#13 – Followed in line with the previous fence and also was airy. A few riders took this down but in general since #12 and #13 were going towards the ingate that helped encourage the horses to finish the course.
