2004 Olympic Games - Show Jumping A Great Start for the U.S. Show Jumping Team Greece In the Running One of the Greek riders, Antonis Petris riding Gredo La Daviere, also went clear and commented, “I was worried about the exact same line as Peter Wylde. It was the most difficult line in the course.” He further commented that “Competing in your own country you are quite nervous. You want to do well and it is nice to have your home country to cheer you on. “Of course I wanted to have a clear round but it is something you can never say beforehand. I tried to ride it as if it was any ordinary event and tried to ride it as best I could. I believe the next few days will be even more difficult than today so we have to take it on a day by day basis.” |
