American Youth Horse Council's 2002 National Youth Horse Leaders Symposium Lexington, KY --The American Youth Horse Council would like to cordially invite submissions to speak at the 2002 National Youth Horse Leaders Symposium at the Holiday Inn, Rock Hill, SC January 25-27, 2002. This annual event presents an opportunity for all leaders in the youth horse industry to come together to learn, network, share ideas and grow as an industry. The symposium is presented by the American Youth Horse Council, a network of academic, breed, industry and other representatives interested in facilitating the flow of horse related educational and promotional resources for youth. AYHC's mission includes a dedication to the promotion of youth leadership and responsible equine management practices. Priority will be given to new presentations, particularly innovative or unique ideas that have not been previously presented. All abstracts will be peer reviewed by distinguished members of the AYHC Symposium Committee. Presentations can be in, but are not limited to the following categories: * Innovative
Youth Programming We target three audiences: Adult Leaders - mostly volunteers who are directly working with youth in the field, Youth Industry Professionals those who have been in the business for a time or are employed in the youth horse industry (such as Extension Specialists and Breed Association Youth Program Coordinators) and Youth Leaders older teens and college students, focusing on leadership. IMPORTANT: We ask you to submit summary or abstract of what you wish to present. This will be included in a proceedings book and peer reviewed. It is important that these summaries include enough information that those participants who are unable to attend your session would be able to derive some value from the information to take home. These summaries/abstracts will also draw people to your session! Please call for the official format for your submission.
