Writers Wanted

After 17 years of primarily servicing manufacturers and custom leather shops, Shop Talk! is wanting to reach out to more equestrian retailers as well. "We got a lot to offer both makers as well as sellers of equestrian products," says Dr. Dan Preston, Editor/Publisher. "To focus more on the retail segment of the horse industry, we're looking for writers with national reputations who can supply us with both regular monthly columns as well as feature stories. Of course, news items from wholesale suppliers and manufacturers are always very much appreciated."

At present, Shop Talk! is looking for articles on the following topics:
* Australian saddles--who has what. A review of US supplies
* English saddles--who has what. A review of foreign and domestic suppliers
* Buying/selling of spurs (Western and English)--what to stock
* Saftey stirrups (Western/English)--who has what. Advantages, etc.
* Merchandising--tips and techniques.
* horse healthcare updates--new products and what they do.

"And we're always open to suggestions," says Preston. "But the thing we're looking for most are articles that are focused, practical, written for the Mom and Pop tack shop and Western stores because that's who are readers are."
