Horse Publications Announces Finalists in Annual Awards Competition April 1999 Member participation and number of entries were up making this year's AHP annual awards contest for material published in 1998 another record-breaker. Total entries increased by 67 over last year's competition. Seventy-five AHP members submitted 824 entries in the categories of editorial content, design, photography, illustration, specialty, and general excellence. Two new classes were added including equine website and general excellence state or regional publication. A roster of 26 professional judges placed the classes and provided constructive critiques on every entry. These comments will be distributed after the Awards Presentations in Nashville on May 22 or mailed to non-attending members along with the Awards Program listing the results. The following
is the list of members who were named finalists for 1999: The awards presentations will be held on Saturday evening, May 22, 1999, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee.
