The American Horse Shows Association elected a new Board of Directors at its Annual Convention in Las Vegas from January 12-16th. The Board consisting of 61 members each serve a three year term.

The newly elected members are:
Linda Allen, Alan F. Balch, Sam Barish, Janet Brown, Michael Busta, Ray Cerniga, Robert J. Dover, Daniel V. Flynn, VMD, Dr. Jerry Gillespie, Natasha A. Grigg, Bill Hughes, Anne Kursinski, Kathy Knill Meyer, Carol Lavell, J. Michael Plumb, Benjamin H. Qua, Guenter Seidel, Col. Axel Steiner, Judith F. Werner, Jeff Wirthman.

The following members will serve until 2002: Jean Blackstone, Washington D. Bishop, James C. Brown, Leo Conroy, Mary Anne O. Cronan, Derek Di Grazia, Cecile Hetzel Dunn, Sheila Johnson, Georgie F. The American Horse Shows Association, as the National Equestrian Federation of the U.S., is the regulatory body for the Olympic and World Championship sports of combined driving, dressage, endurance, eventing, show jumping, and vaulting, as well as 19 other breeds and disciplines of equestrian competition. As the country’s largest multi-breed organization, the AHSA has over 70,000 members and recognizes more than 2,600 competitions nationwide each year. It governs all aspects of competition, including educating and licensing all judges, stewards, and technical delegates who officiate at these shows.
