"GMC America's Horse" To Feature NRHA Futurity On Christmas Eve Show

AMARILLO, Texas ­ "GMC America's Horse," the American Quarter Horse Association's weekly television series which brings the excitement of American Quarter Horse activities into millions of homes, will feature the National Reining Horse Association Open Futurity Finals on Monday, December 24 at 1 p.m. Eastern on ESPN2.

"GMC America's Horse" coverage of the NRHA Futurity also can be seen on ESPN Classic, another of the ESPN channels on Wednesday, December 26 at 6 p.m. and Thursday, December 27 at 5:30 p.m. Eastern.

"The NRHA Futurity is one of the most anticipated reining events of the year," said Bill Brewer, AQHA Executive Vice President. "We are pleased to feature this thrilling competition as our last program of 2001 on ESPN2."

"GMC America's Horse" has been been a weekly program since 2000 and initially hit the airwaves in 1986 as a monthly program. "GMC America's Horse" covers a variety of equestrian activities including cutting and reining events, American Quarter Horse racing, AQHA-approved shows and other activities involving American Quarter Horses. "GMC America's Horse" reaches nearly 20 million viewers in 9 million households.

Beginning February 5, the television program moves to the Outdoor Life Network and can be seen on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. Eastern.
