AQHA'S
International Horsemanship Clinics Begin
First
Stop, Austria
AMARILLO,
Texas - AQHA reaffirmed its position as the world's largest equine breed
registry and Membership organization this week by teaming with Oklahoma
State University (OSU) and West Texas A&M University (WTAMU) to
create and present horsemanship clinics to horse enthusiasts across
the globe. The first of the clinics began this week in Austria.
"These
clinics underscore AQHA's commitment to growing the breed's popularity
worldwide while helping those schools that offer equine courses as part
of their curriculum" said Trigg Rentfro, AQHA Director of International
Affairs. "The students who head overseas are challenged to display
their knowledge, teach horsemanship skills and overcome a major language
barrier. In return, they are presenting information that will help international
horse enthusiasts become active with American Quarter Horses."
The five
horsemanship clinics taking place in four different countries arepresented
by AQHA, sponsored by each host country and conducted by the individual
university. Austria, Germany, England and Denmark will welcome these
American college students for the horsemanship clinics. Listed below
are the dates for these clinics, followed by the university scheduled
