Remember a Loved One Through Foundation Memorial
"The
Heart of the Ride" Unveiled
Amarillo,
Texas - Beginning next week, anyone who wants to remember a loved one
- be it horse or human - can do so through a new program announced today
by the American Quarter Horse Foundation. The program is called "The
Heart of the Ride" and was designed specifically for people who want
to forever remember a horse or person who touched their lives.
"We believe
there is no better way to pay tribute to a loved one than with a memorial
established through the American Quarter Horse Foundation," said Bill
Brewer AQHA's Executive Vice President. "Members and owners of American
Quarter Horses can honor the memory of a friend, loved one or special
horse by making a gift to the Foundation in that person's memory. The
gift then will be used to help support the education of our youth, equine
research to protect all horses or educational outreach projects of the
Foundation."
Over the
years, the American Quarter Horse Foundation has received numerous requests
from people who have been touched by a special horse or human. After
listening to those countless requests, the Foundation developed "The
Heart of the Ride" Program.
By simply
completing a memorial card and indicating the gift, Members, owners
and enthusiasts can celebrate their favorite person or animal. After
receiving the card and gift, AQHF will send a beautiful memorial card
to a person or family member to let them know a memorial has been established.
"The Heart
of the Ride" campaign will officially kick off during the American Quarter
Horse Youth Association World Championship Show held August 5-11 in
Fort Worth, Texas. Additionally, in the November/December issue of America's
Horse magazine, a special envelope will be inserted into every copy
mailed so Members can make their gifts in time for the holiday season.
The American
Quarter Horse Foundation was established in 1975 as a charitable organization
for the industry. AQHF supports scholarships with some 130 young people
currently attending school on a Foundation scholarship; equine research
that benefits all horses; and educational outreach programs such the
American Quarter Horse Heritage Center & Museum. For additional information
on AQHF or to make a donation, simply call 1-888-209-8322 or visit www.aqha.com.
