Baltimore, MD - June 25, 2003 - The American Quarter Horse Journal claimed the top honor-Best Overall Publication-at the 2003 American Horse Publications Seminar held in Baltimore, Maryland, June 19-21.

The American Quarter Horse Journal and The American Quarter Horse Racing Journal both earned General Excellence Awards in their categories-association magazine circulation 15,000 and over, and association magazine, circulation under 15,000, respectively.

The three-day seminar featured a tour of Hunt Valley's Maryland Hunt Cup race course, Shawan Downs, Sagamore Farms and Ladew Gardens. The awards recognized articles, magazines and authors for works published in 2002.

The American Quarter Horse Journal took home six total awards. The American Quarter Horse Racing Journal claimed five awards, and America's Horse claimed four.
