- Grand Slam Agreement GRAND SLAM AGREEMENT Representatives of FEI and BCM met on 26 November 1998 to discuss the differences of interpretation of the marketing and promotion of the Grand Slam which led to the FEI withdrawing its approval of the concept after its start in Oslo. Following the meeting the FEI is pleased that an agreement has been reached for the continuation of the Grand Slam based on specified definition of the Grand Slam concept and its promotional marketing. Consequently, the Grand Slam will take place at the following events: Oslo, Berlin, Geneva, London, Paris, ës Hertogenbosch and Dortmund. A bonus of EURO 100í000, EURO 200í000 and EURO 300í000 will be paid to the rider winning respectively three, four or five of the seven FEI World Cup Grand Slam in a row. For the 1998/1999 season the next are Geneva, London Paris, ës Hertogenbosch and Dortmund. WORLD CONFERENCE ON DOPING IN SPORT, PREPARATORY MEETING Mr Freddy

General and Dr Frits Sluyter, FEI Veterinary Officer, represented the
FEI at the preparatory meeting which was convened by the IOC President
on 27 November 1998 in Lausanne with a view to the World Conference
on Doping in Sport next 2,3, and 4 February 1999. During this meeting,
the participants agreed to the key proposals to be presented at the
