PROCEDURE - EVENTING
1. TEAM COMPETITION
15 NFs will be qualified to take part with a team consisting of
4 riders and 4 horses or 3 riders and 3 horses, as follows:

1.1. Completion
of Quota - Teams - Eventing
If completion of the team quota will be required, either to fill-up
the 15 spaces available or following the cancellation of team
entries by a nation, it will be achieved in the following order
of priority:
- Further nations
will become qualified from the competitions in C, D and E above,
in equal proportion to the number of teams having started in
each competition. In case of equal rights the FEI Executive
Board will have the final decision, on the recommendation of
the FEI Three Day Event Committee. (Only NED has the possibility
to fill-up the quota as it is the only NF, in addition to those
mentioned under C, D and E above, that has completed as a team
an Olympic Qualifying competition)
- an NF not qualified
as per above that has a minimum of 4 riders who have obtained
the minimum requirements for participation in the Olympic Games
will become qualified to fill up the quota as per decision of
the FEI Executive Board acting on the advice of the Three Day
Event Committee.
2. INDIVIDUAL
COMPETITION
36 Individual competitors are qualified to take part in the Individual
competition, each competitor with one horse, and a maximum of
3 riders per nation.
All 3 competitors will be allowed to ride in both the Individual
and team competition if they ride a different horse in each competition.
The NFs of competitors from the FEI approved World Ranking for
Three Day Event Riders (of 3 & 4 star events) counting from
1st January 1999 to the deadline for confirmation of
qualification to NOCs of 1st March 2000, will be qualified
to enter competitors as follows:

NFs of the competitor placed first in the FEI World Ranking
for Three Day Event Riders in each Region will become qualified
to enter 1 Individual as follows: |

3. RIDERS RANKING LIST FOR THREE DAY EVENT
The point system to be used for establishing the Riders Ranking
list for Eventing has been published in the FEI Olympic Regulations
(Annex E-1) and will be published in an FEI Bulletin. The standing
as of 1st March 2000 will count.
4. REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFYING PERIOD - EVENTING
