Mills Team Challenge Freestyle at the North American Young Riders’ Championships Presented by State LineTack

Rebecca HartAugust 10, 2002 - The Freestyle dressage competition in the Mills Team Challenge was also held on Saturday. Rebecca Hart riding Miss Jane Marple finished on top with a final score of 69.630%. Keith Newerla and Atticus came in a close second with 69.537% and Christopher Lipe and Rafferty were third with 69.318%.

The Mills Team Challenge is a dressage competition for riders with physical disabilities who range from 16-25 years of age. They are teamed up with able-bodied riders also competing at the NAYRC. The Challenge Champions will be named on Sunday.

The competition is run under the auspices of the National Disability Sports Alliance (NDSA), the national governing body for equestrian sports for riders with disabilities.

The NAYRC is the premier competition for young riders in the three Olympic disciplines of show jumping, dressage, and three-day eventing. Riders, ages 16 through 21 are eligible to compete in this USA Junior Olympic – Equestrian event.
