Awards $50,000 in Grants to Assist Athletes With International Competition
Gladstone, NJAugust 1, 2003The United States Equestrian Team (USET) has approved $50,000 in Athlete Grants to assist athletes with costs associated with international competition. The Athlete Grant program is designed to fund activities that have a direct impact on athletes ability to help the United States win medals at Olympic Games, Pan American Games or World Championships. This year, the USET has awarded its Athlete Grants as follows:
The United States Equestrian Team is a non-profit organization that selects, trains, equips and finances equestrians of the highest possible standard to represent our country in major international competition, including the Olympic Games and the World Championships. To accomplish this, the USET seeks out and nurtures the development of talented athletes - riders, drivers, vaulters and horses - and provides the support and guidance they need to help them attain their fullest potential.
