Riders Quailified for Final Pan Am Selection Trials
GLADSTONE, NJ-June 15, 1999-The United States Equestrian Team (USET) has announced the list of dressage horses and riders who have qualified to compete in the Final Selection Trials for the Pan American Games this summer in Winnipeg, Canada, July 24 - August 8. Twelve competitors will vie for the four spots on the USET dressage squad during the State Line Tack USET Intermediaire Dressage Championship, Presented by Rio Suite Hotel and Casino at the Bayer/USET Festival of Champions, June 23-27, in Gladstone, NJ. Riders qualified for the Final Selection Trials based on their average scores accumulated during a series of qualifying competitions in the United States or abroad. Horse-and-rider

Intermediaire Dressage Championship, Presented by Rio Suite Hotel and
Casino are: Following the Final Selection Trials at Gladstone, the USET Executive Committee, upon the recommendation of the USET Dressage Committee, will name the U.S. Pan American Games Team of four plus two ranked alternates. This selection
will be based on the overall performance at the Final Selection Trials
as follows: In the case of a tie at the Final Selection Trials, the higher Prix St. Georges score will determine the ranking. If the Prix St. Georges scores are also tied, the ranking will be determined by the Intermediaire I.
