Names Partial Short List For Eventing World Championship At
The World Equestrian Games

The
United States Equestrian Team (USET) has announced a partial
Short List of horses and riders from which the USET will select
its squad for the Eventing World Championships to be held
September 30-October 4 in Pratoni del Vivaro, Italy, as part
of the World Equestrian Games. The USET selectors will name
additional horses and riders to this list following the Bramham
CCI*** in the United Kingdom, June 11-14.
Named
to the partial Short List are four riders who represented
the USET in last year's European Open Eventing Championships:

Five-time U.S. Olympic veteran and two-time World Champion Bruce
Davidson of Unionville, PA on Eagle Lion, owned by George Strawbridge,
and on Heyday (pictured), owned by Dr. Elinor B. Jenny.

Phyllis Dawson of Purcelville, VA on Snowy River, whom she owns
with her mother Grace
|
1996 Olympic Bronze Medalist Kerry Millikin of Westport, MA
on her Out and About
|
Two-time U.S. Olympic veteran Karen O'Connor of The Plains,
VA on Biko, owned by Mr. and Mrs. Richard Thompson, and on Prince
Panache, owned by Jacqueline Mars.

| Davidson
on Heyday and O'Connor on Biko helped the USET win the team
Silver Medal at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. Recently,
Davidson placed third on Eagle Lion and O'Connor placed fifth
on Prince Panache at the Badminton CCI**** in the United Kingdom.
