Gigi Stetler and Nona Garson to Shake and Stir at Sidelines’ Celebrity Bartending Party

Wellington, FL – January 2, 2007 – Making generous donations and sponsoring countless events, charities and horse shows are not enough for RV Sales of Broward’s owner, Gigi Stetler – she also volunteers her free time to good causes.

Stetler will join the ranks with participants and equestrian celebrities at The Celebrity Bartending Party at the Players Club on Thursday, January 4, 2007, which starts at 7:30 p.m. for the seventh annual Sidelines Equestrian Triathlon. Celebrities include Robert Dover, Nona Garson and Tony Coppola, among many others.

Stetler has sponsored a team of three riders (dressage, show jumping and polo) for the triathlon for the past three years. This year, the RV Sales of Broward team is composed of Olympic show jumper Nona Garson, Bent Jensen in dressage and Willy Hartnett for polo. Garson has ridden on Stetler’s team for the past three years, and both women are looking forward to participating in an event that supports such a good cause.

“I volunteer my time because it’s fun, first of all, and because it’s a good cause. I think that by adding a little fun to bartending, it brings a little extra cash. Two years ago when I bartended, I was on crutches and I got a whole lot of extra money, so I’ll have to come up with some other gimmick this year. After about my third pour for each customer, they don’t know what they are drinking anymore! So it was all in an evening’s fun,” Stetler explained.

She continued, “I do the triathlon because it’s just amazing how you put the three disciplines together and you bring not only the disciplines together but also the people. We very rarely mingle – dressage, jumping and polo – and we have very much in common, we just don’t share it. It’s nice to get together and compete for one cause.”

Proceeds from the bartending party and the triathlon benefit the Equestrian Aid Foundation, a nonprofit organization to assists equestrians in need. Although the triathlon has been delayed indefinitely on account of the recent equine herpes virus outbreak in Wellington, FL, it will be rescheduled.
