Hollywood Dun It Nears $4 Million Mark Byers, OK - November 30, 2004 - Hollywood Dun It has been a dominating force in the reining industry for the past two decades and as 2004 comes to a close, the venerable sire approaches another mighty pinnacle in his unprecedented career. The success of his progeny has made Hollywood Dun It the reining industry's Leading All Time Sire and he was the first stallion in history whose foals garnered over $3 million in earnings. Upon the beginning of the NRHA Futurity, Hollywood Dun It was just $52,604 away from becoming the National Reining Horse Association’s only $4 Million Sire. With the large amount of money at stake in the NRHA Futurity, November 25-December 4, and the substantial number of Dun It progeny, the milestone could very well be reached in the next few days! For Hollywood Dun It owners Tim & Colleen McQuay and Jennifer Easton, the $4 Million milestone looms large. “We try not to think about it too much,” said NRHA All Time Leading Rider Tim McQuay. “Dun It just seems to take care of us!” McQuay added, “Of course, it goes without saying that everything Hollywood Dun It has accomplished is due, in great part, to the owners and riders who have supported him. We are grateful to all those who have ridden and shown Hollywood Dun It foals.” Hollywood Dun It’s thirteen foal crops that have shown have won the NRHA Futurity, NRHA Derby and Superstakes, the National Reining Breeders Classic, All American Quarter Horse Congress Futurity, Southwest Reining Horse Association Futurity, the Tradition Futurity and numerous others. They've qualified and won gold medals in United States Equestrian Team competition and earned American Quarter Horse Association World Championships, as well. They've also excelled out of the reining discipline, earning both a Non Pro Reserve Championship at the National Reined Cow Horse Association World Championship Snaffle Bit Futurity and an NRCHA World Championship. They’ve also collected National Cutting Horse Association dollars and there are even Champion roping and driving Dun Its! Hollywood Dun It was selected as the first Breyer Animal Creations reining horse in 1998, and in 2002 his son, Dun Gotta Gun, was also similarly honored as a Breyer collectible. Hollywood Dun It stands at McQuay Stables in Tioga, Texas and he is the senior sire in a stallion lineup that includes four of his sons. For information, contact www.mcquaystables.com. |
