Kristi Locatelli Marks High Rein Work Score/Kathy Wilson Maintains Non Pro Lead The rein work portion of the National Reined Cow Horse Association Non Pro, Intermediate Non Pro, and Amateur Derby concluded with Kristi Locatelli piloting Imacockadoodledude to earn the top score for the Non Pro and Intermediate Non Pro class. Although Kristi and Imacockadoodledude (Gallo Del Cielo x Taris Velvet) placed near the bottom of the class in the herd work, their score of 219 was a half-point ahead of second place Mike Miller and Bucks Little Fever in the Non Pro division. Her composite score after the first two legs of competition is 401. Mike Miller, of Big Piney, Wyoming, rode half-brothers to a back-to-back finish for second and third place in the rein work. Mike and Bucks Little Fever (Playboys Buck Fever x Cashs Genie) earned a rein work score of 218.5 for a composite of 424.5. Brave Nu Fever (Playboys Buck Fever x Nu And Genuine) marked a 217.5 for a total of 431.5 to sit third in the Non Pro division. Kylie Knight and Soula Moolah (Soula Jule Star x Dox Home Remedy) marked the second high score in the Intermediate Non Pro rein work with a 217, and now sits in the top slot for the Amateur division. Their composite score is 423 puts Kylie and Soula Moolah six points ahead of Kim Renshaw and Delightful Prize. Kathy Wilson and Sis Is Smart maintain the lead for the Non Pro and Intermediate Non Pro divisions after scoring a 213.5 in the rein work. However, their composite score of 432.5 is only a half-point greater than the 432 total of Marc Bourdet and CD Precious Peppy. Marc remains in the second position in both divisions after marking a 216.5 in the rein work. On Thursday, June 21, the Open Derby exhibitors will complete the rein work prelims. The Non Pro Bridle Spectacular will conclude Thursday afternoon after the rein and cow work, which will run concurrently with the Horse Show Novice Non Pro Bridle class.
