The vote is in from the FEI general Assembly, Reining is in! A important delegation of representatives of all different Reining organizations came to Mainz to present this discipline, and were available the whole week to answer questions of the participants to the Assembly . This western discipline has a strong position world-wide and counts 57,000 active competitors in 47 countries on 6 continents and the FEI is very happy to welcome it as a new FEI discipline.

An ad hoc committee has been appointed to develop the rules of international events in this disciplines in close co-operation with the existing Reining Associations. The committee is composed of:

· Mr Pierre Ouelet (CAN)
· Mr Johannes Orgeldinger (GER)
· Mr Don Burt (USA)
· Dr Leo Jeffcot (GBR) / Dr Frits Sluyter (NED)
· Mr Michael Stone
These rules will be presented for approval o the next General Assembly.
